Billie Beery Chapel Hill Retreat Co-Host, Caretaker and Board Member

Billie J. Beery was born in Mason City, Iowa The third Daughter of Elvin B. and Helen V. Tedder. She grew up in North Central Iowa and graduated from Mason City High school in 1966. She Married her High School Sweetheart Bob on October 24, 1981. She received her Master of Arts Degree in Education Leadership at the University of Portland. She Developed and opened Fort Dalles Secondary School, a private junior/senior high school, where she was a teacher and School Administrator until its merge with Sonrise Academy in 1997.

Bob Beery-Chapel Hill Retreat Host, Caretaker and Board Member

Rev. Robert R. Beery, Jr. was born in Mason City, IA. The oldest son of Robert R. “Bud” and Shirley A. Beery. He grew up in North Central Iowa and graduated from Mason City High school in 1965. After being in the Army for two years touring Europe and South Vietnam, He then returned to his studies getting his BS and BA in Religion and Psychology at Warner Pacific College in Portland, Oregon. He then went to on the Western Evangelical Seminary and after that went on to take an Associate Pastorate at Fellowship Church of God in Portland, Oregon. He accepted the call as Senior Pastor of First Church of God in The Dalles, Oregon in 1990.
He has been Host and Caretaker of Chapel Hill Retreat since its conception.
Bob loves the Lord and strives to represent the truth whenever possible by the Holy Spirit’s leading and empowerment.
